Working people are under attack. Shadowy special interest groups and powerful corporations are bankrolling attack ads that aim to pit workers against each other and justify policies that hurt the middle class. Today because of these blatant attacks — and relentless disinformation campaigns — the middle class is faring worse than at any time since the Great Depression. Real wages are falling. Workers are pitted against each other. Corporations are making record profits and the ultra-wealthy elite keep getting richer while the middle class is disappearing.
Now more than ever, working people need to stand together and organize to turn the tide.
The importance of this election can not be overstated. We need to elect leaders who will stand up for working people and our families. We need leaders who will fight to protect workers rights, invest in public educational programs, and commit the resources that are needed to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure.
